PLUGINS UND TOOLS

YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the Google operated YouTube page. The site is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When you visit one of our sites equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the servers of YouTube is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you can enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

YouTube is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Further information on the handling of user data can be found in the YouTube privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

NEWSLETTER

Scope and purpose of data processing, legal basis

We only send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications containing advertising information (hereinafter “newsletters”) with the recipients’ consent. Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR constitutes the legal basis for the processing of data after registering for the newsletter.

The newsletters contain information and appeals regarding our statutory activities, i.e. in particular, appeals for donations and reports on the use of donations, our services, which include, for example, our offers for products and specialist literature, as well as other campaigns or special offers in connection with our range of services, ourselves and our online presence. Within the context of each registration, and in this respect prioritized, the contents of the newsletters can be determined differently or restrictively.

On the other hand, newsletters do not contain any messages without advertising information sent in the context of contractual or other business relationships. This includes, for example, the sending of service e-mails providing technical or organizational information within the scope of our statutory obligations or our performance of services. This may include, for example, order confirmations, organizational messages, information on changes to the articles of association, queries about donations or similar messages.

To be able to send you the newsletter, we require your e-mail address. Any additional information, such as your name and address, is provided voluntarily. With your name, we can address you personally in the newsletter and we use any further information, e.g. to send any information materials that you request to your postal address. If you prefer, you may use a pseudonym.

To check if registration for the newsletter has actually been submitted by the holder of the e-mail address, e-mail holders are basically asked to confirm their registration for the newsletter before any newsletters are sent (known as the double opt-in procedure). As this confirmation request does not contain any advertising, such queries are not considered to be a newsletter.

Furthermore, in order to prove that the registration process has occurred according to legal requirements, newsletter registrations are logged. This particularly means that the time of registration and confirmation are recorded.

In order to make our newsletters content more exciting and relevant, we use the possibilities of statistical evaluation for usage data. This means that our newsletters contain a so-called tracking pixel. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is retrieved from the server of our dispatch service provider when you open our newsletter. In the course of this retrieval, technical information is stored, e.g. the time the newsletter is opened, the browser and operating system used and the IP address. Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR constitutes the legal basis for this tracking: the protection of legitimate interests. You can object to this form of data collection at any time by sending your revocation to: info@ravetheplanet.com.

Recipients

Our newsletter is sent by Newsletter2go GmbH, our dispatch service provider. You can find the privacy policy of Newsletter2go GmbH here. In accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR, we use the dispatch service provider for our legitimate interests; Art. 23 GDPR allows us to process order contracts. Your data will not be disclosed to any other third parties.

Option to revoke and eliminate

You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data, e-mail address and their use in sending the newsletter at any time. To revoke your consent, you can use the link in the newsletters or send an e-mail to info@ravetheplanet.com.
